How to request deletion

Send an email to privacy@getmungez.com with the subject "Account deletion request", including:

• Your full name as registered on the account.
• The mobile number and/or email address linked to the account.
• Your company name (and its subdomain, if you know it).
• Whether you want the entire account deleted or only specific data.

We verify your identity to confirm the request came from you, then action it within 30 days at most and confirm once complete. You can also submit the request from inside the app via: Settings → Account → Delete account.

What gets deleted

• Account and identity data: name, phone, email, profile photo and password.
• Device binding, hashed device identifiers and push notification tokens.
• Conversation history with the WhatsApp bot and the assistant.
• Documents and attachments you uploaded yourself.

What may be retained, and why

We may have to retain some data despite a deletion request, strictly limited to the following reasons:

• Wage records and financial/tax documents: law requires retention for a set period, and they are in the employer's custody as Data Controller.
• Data needed for an active legal claim, until it is resolved.
• Anonymised security logs that cannot be linked back to you personally.

Whatever remains is deleted — or permanently anonymised — within 90 days of the retention reason ending.

If you are an employee of a subscribed company

Your employment data inside Mungez HR is owned and administered by your employer. We may therefore need to coordinate with your company's HR department before performing the deletion, and we will keep you informed of the request status in all cases. Deleting your account does not end your employment relationship and does not waive any rights or obligations toward your employer.
